World Mental Health Day- Oct. 10/2025

I really believe that holding the vision of World Mental Health day is possible.

I often use the phrase: “Drop by drop makes a lake.”

I can’t remember who I first heard it from but it resonates so strongly for me, now more than ever.

I lean on this, in the complexity of our times, as it helps me to remember that even the smallest changes have significant impact.

Caring, kindness and taking the time to connect matters.

This past year, while working full time as a Counselor at Orca Lelum Wellness Centre (Indigenous led organization), I was honored to witness the powerful healing impact of a heart-led approach by elders and the cultural team.

Supporting Indigenous youth & teens to heal from intergenerational trauma & abuse of many kinds (physical, sexual, mental, societal ) can feel insurmountable.

What I learned is that holding space & capacity for healing, must include clear intentions, examined awareness without bias, integrity and lastly, loving and firm boundaries.

This is when Healing happens. Through my professional working experience in Mental health and my own lived experience, I designed a path forward in healing called, “Cycle of Creative Care.” (featured in the book, The Coach’s Guide to Completing Creative Work (Routledge 2023.)

I welcome connection time & care, you can book a 30 Min Conversation via Calendly here.
