Many theatres are becoming more aware & conscious of content warnings for audiences as well as the importance of mental health for the cast and crew.
Having worked as a professional actor for many years (as well as a playwright, dramaturge and director), I have seen first hand that much of the emotional and mental supports fall too often on the shoulders of those who are equally stressed, over-worked or struggling themselves.
The toll can be great not to mention that the various barriers- as well as stigma in the workplace.
There is a growing need in the Arts & Entertainment industry for Mental Wellness Consultations that consider impact and risk for audience, actors and crews and offer practical, easy to access resources. (No waitlists, no costly fees)
Combining my theatre career knowledge with my certification as a counselor CAC II and work experience working in Mental Health, I am able to offer a comprehensive assessment to prevent stress and harm and resources for safety & care prior to production or as you begin rehearsal.
I am committed to advocate for accessible resources for theatre artists that are trauma-informed and are custom designed to both, educate and uplift Mental Wellness & Self-Care for Theatre artists for rehearsal and production.
